Kamakshi Sistla Named Nevada Young Engineer of the Year

Kamakshi Sistla received a Young Engineer of the Year award from the Southern Nevada Chapter of the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE).
Currently, Kamakshi is working as Water Resources Engineer at WSP/Parsons Brinckerhoff. Previously Kamakshi worked for Aggregate Industries. At WSP/Parsons, Ms. Sistla performs hydrologic modeling for watersheds, hydraulic river modeling, and floodplain delineation. Her key duties include highway, rail and street drainage design projects which involve hydrologic and hydraulic calculations.
Harshal Desai, the President of National Society of Professional Engineer, Nevada Chapter presents the Southern Nevada Chapter of the National Society of Professional Engineers award to Kamakshi Sistla.
During her tenure, Ms. Sistla had worked for several public works projects, both in Nevada and California, for clients including, City of Las Vegas, City of North Las Vegas, Clark County Flood Control District, Regional transportation Commission of Southern Nevada, City of San Bernardino and City of Los Angeles.
At Aggregate Industries, Ms.Sistla’s worked on environmental permitting and regulatory issues, conducting environmental audits and monitoring pollution prevention activities. Kamakshi has completed her Master of Science (M.S.) in Civil and Environmental Engineering from UNLV. Prior to coming to UNLV, Kamakshi completed her B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, India.
