Please join friends, family and supporters of Fayyaz Raja in his quest for the next Clark County Commissioner from District C. A well-known political activist, Democrat Fayyaz Raja is running for an open seat in the County Commission.
Fayyaz Raja, originally from Pakistan, has resided in Las Vegas for over 40 years. UNLV graduate Raja is a self-employed independent insurance agent. Raja has been actively involved in local and statewide politics and has volunteered thousands of hours on Democratic campaigns, fund-raising and other political activities. Previously Raja served as a 2nd Vice-Chair of the Clark County Democratic Party. “I am running to bring diversity to the County Commission. Asian American and Pacific Islanders are seriously under-represented in the political community,” said Raja.
Politically, Raja is currently serving as a President of SAPNA – South Asian Political Network Alliance and has served as the Chairman of the Asian American Democratic Caucus, an arm of the Clark County Democratic Party focusing on diverse Asian communities. Additionally, Raja was an active member of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Use of Force Review Board and also served on the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Citizens Review Board.
