With great pride, Gopal Patel, owner of India Market announces an opening of a new location of the longest-running Indian grocery store in Las Vegas.  The gleaming new internationally inspired grocery store, though still focused on Indian and Pakistani groceries, is located on Tropicana Avenue – few hundred yards East of Maryland Parkway not far from the previous location.

It took Gopal over a year of meticulous planning, redesigning, and remodeling the complete interior of over 12,000 square feet of a self-standing retail building, previously owned by Smart & Final on East Tropicana Avenue.  Gopal’s India Market is the longest running Indian grocery store in Las Vegas.  For the past 25 plus years, Gopal has been serving the growing Indian sub-continent community with vastly diverse grocery options, from North and South Indian spices, lentils, snacks etc. to Sri Lankan specialties.  Lately, at the old store, Gopal brought in specialized and popular East African food items as well.

The new megastore with new name India Market and Café carries over thousands of assorted retail grocery items from Indian sub-continent, Africa, and Eastern Europe.  India Market & Café also carries some of the popular grocery items in commercial bulk packaging to cater to the growing restaurant segment of the market.

The well-lit wide aisles are accurately labeled, properly categorized with easy to find several varieties of brand name grocery items.  Additionally, the store carries a wide variety of hard goods including Indian kitchen utensils, culinary tools, along with an assorted array of decorative household items from various regions of India and neighboring countries.  The store is modeled on the concept of Western grocery stores with professional customer service, competitive pricing, cleanliness, and one-stop shopping for the Indian, Sri Lankan, Pakistani, & East African groceries.

The new location brings in a sparkling clean self-serve Indian café, with sitting for over 50 customers and a capacity to expand to hundred customers at any given time.  The Café with a full-time professional chef, Arpit Patel from England, and kitchen staff specializes in freshly prepared mouthwatering regional Indian cuisine from snacks, chaats, burgers, wraps, assorted dosas, tandoori plain & stuffed naans & parathas, along with arrays of curries all for under $9.  The café specialties can be ordered online and delivery is facilitated through bite squad, GrubHub or postmates.  The café serves strictly vegetarian cuisine only.

The fresh “really fresh” produce section has an assortment of regular and many hard to find organic and non-organic vegetables and fruits.
