Retain Indian-American Judge Tina Talim
Indian-American Judge Tina Talim moved to America with her family as a young child. After an undergraduate degree, with honors, from UCLA, Judge Talim earned her J.D. from the prestigious Pepperdine School of Law.
Soon after graduating from Pepperdine, Judge Talim moved to Vegas 20 years back to work for a prominent local law firm, Alverson Taylor. Before being appointed to the bench, Judge Talim served as a prosecutor in the Clark County District Attorney’s Office for nineteen years, prosecuting 35 felony jury trials, including murder, sexual assaults, crimes against children, and robbery. She was promoted to Chief Deputy District Attorney and was tasked with prosecuting national and international drug trafficking cartels. She has served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney and twice received the “Prosecutor of the Year” award. She was the first civilian to receive the Exemplary Service Award by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. She received the “Outstanding Investigative Effort” award from the Office of President Barack Obama for her efforts in prosecuting one of Nevada’s most prolific drug.
Judge Talim is a mother of twin 17-year-old daughters she raised as a single parent since they were two. On the non-legal side, Judge Talim is a Certified Pilates Reformer Instructor.
