Recent incidents, including the burning of the Indian flag in Texas, have heightened fears among many South Asian families who perceive a rise in anti-South Asian sentiment. Growing concerns over immigration, labor market competition, and rapid demographic changes have contributed to increasing tensions surrounding South Asian communities in several major American cities. In particular, Indian Americans have found themselves at the center of vicious debates involving both legal and illegal immigration, the H-1B visa program, and the growing presence of South Asians in major cities across the United States.
As these debates continue, many South Asian families are navigating an increasingly complex social, economic and political realities.

This luncheon meeting will be an opportunity to hear from Athar Haseebullah on how the ACLU is protecting the individual civil rights and more.

Get involved and partake in thought-provoking discussions on issues impacting the growing, highly successful South Asian community and connect with other professionals and community leaders.
