Subramaniam Vaikuntam (Subbu) is proud to announce the launch of the Nevada Institute of Southern Asian Music (NISAM), in partnership with his respected guru ji, Shri Amit Chakraborty. This exciting new initiative is dedicated to fostering excellence in Indian classical music through structured music education.
NISAM will begin by offering vocal training and plans to gradually expand into related musical programs including instrumental instruction, with the aim of preserving and sharing the rich traditions of Indian classical music. The institute is committed to nurturing musical talent within the community and cultivating the next generation of performers and enthusiasts.
Subbu has been an active member of the Las Vegas music community for over a decade. He is the Founder and President of the India Fine Arts Association of Nevada (IFAAN), a non-profit organization that promotes Indian classical music. Under his leadership, IFAAN hosts 2–3 high-quality classical music concerts annually, featuring renowned artists and enriching the local cultural landscape.
NISAM is now open for enrollment and welcomes students of all levels who are eager to learn the intricacies of Indian classical music. The institute is also open to partnerships and collaborations with individuals and organizations who share a passion for music education and cultural enrichment.
