The Consulate General of India, Los Angeles, in collaboration with Friends of India – Las Vegas, successfully organized the Viksit Bharat Run 2026, bringing together over 50 community members across all age groups for an energetic morning of fitness, unity and community engagement.

Held in the spirit of “Swasth Bharat, Viksit Bharat,” the event began on a patriotic note with renditions of Vande Mataram and the National Anthem by members of the Indian diaspora. The Run saw enthusiastic participation from children, youth, adults and senior citizens, reflecting the strong community spirit of the Indian diaspora in Las Vegas. Participants came together not just to run, but to celebrate a shared commitment to health, unity and India’s development journey.

Following the Run, Consul General Dr. K. J. Srinivasa interacted with community members and discussed a range of issues and topics of interest to the Indian diaspora, providing them with an opportunity to engage directly with the Consulate and share their views and concerns.

The run carried a simple but powerful message – a healthier community is an important part of a stronger and more developed India.

Swasth Bharat. Viksit Bharat. Run for Unity. Run for Progress.
