Medical Malpractice: Dr. Zia Khan, M.D., Settles with the Medical Board
Dr. Zia Khan entered into a settlement agreement with the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners following an investigation into allegations of professional misconduct. The investigation involved two counts of medical malpractice and one count of failure to maintain complete medical records. One of the two medical malpractice allegations was dismissed as part of the resolution of the matter.

- Admits to one count of medical malpractice and one count of failure to maintain complete medical records.
- Will pay the costs and expenses totaling $3,974 incurred in the investigation and prosecution of the above-referenced matter within 60 days of the Board’s acceptance.
- Shall pay a fine of $1,500 within sixty days.
- Shall perform five hours of continue medical education (CME) related to the best practices of artery disease diagnosing and testing.
- Agreement will be reported to including national practitioner data bank, and
- Shall receive a public letter of remand.
Dr. Zia Khan, M.D., graduated from the prestigious Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh, India. He completed his residency and fellowship at the University of Cincinnati, Ohio. Additionally, Dr. Khan did his fellowship in interventional cardiology from the University of Louisville Medical Center, Louisville.
