Las Vegans Ratan and Dr. Jagannath Surpure invite the local Indian-American community to the screening of the movie Samaira.  Surpures’ are the producer of a newly released movie under the banner of Global Sewa LLC in association with Mumbai-based Aadyot Films. Samaira was officially released in India in August to mixed reviews by viewers and industry insiders. The story is about an adopted travel blogger Samaira who gets a chance to cover over 800 years old tradition of Pandharpur Wari, an annual ritual of a religious procession in Maharashtra. At the same time, she wanted to know her roots and more about her birth mother. The movie covers some challenging elements of educational and social issues impacting rural India.

Samaira’s premiere show will be on Sunday, January 8, 2023, at 2:30 PM at the Performing Arts Auditorium, West Charleston Library, 6301 West Charleston Blvd., Las Vegas. 

Attendees will have an opportunity to meet and talk about the movie with Samaira’s producers, Ratan and Jagannath Surpure. There will be complimentary snacks and chai during the interval. Attendees are admitted free of charge on a first-come, first-serve basis. OFFICIAL TRAILER…
