Milan Chatterjee, Esq., Appointed Justice of the Peace Pro Tempore

Milan Chatterjee, Esq., a prominent local Indian-American attorney, has been appointed Las Vegas Township Justice of the Peace Pro Tempore by the Clark County Commissioners. This role involves stepping in when a sitting justice of the peace is temporarily unable to perform their duties or is disqualified from handling a case.

Milan is the Founder & Managing Member of Milan’s Legal. Previously, Milan Chatterjee worked as in-house counsel at Las Vegas Sands, a Fortune 500 corporation, where he specialized in anti-money laundering and anti-corruption.

Milan is passionate about serving the Nevada legal community. He serves on the Nevada Supreme Court’s Access to Justice Commission and the Executive Council of the Nevada Bar’s Young Lawyers Section. Milan served as the Founding President of the South Asian Bar Association of Las Vegas and the American Association of Jewish Lawyers & Jurists’ Nevada Chapter (AAJLJ). At the AAJLJ, Milan established a board with Nevada’s leading supreme court justices, district court judges, political leaders, and attorneys.

Milan holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Denver and a J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Law while visiting NYU School of Law.

During his time at UCLA, Chatterjee was highly involved in student leadership, serving as Graduate Student Body President, Vice President of Internal Affairs for the Graduate Students Association, and as a representative on several key committees, including the UCLA Student Bar Association Diversity Committee and the Experiential Clinical Student-Faculty Committee.
