National Merit Scholarship Corporation is pleased to announce Nikash Garg and Nina Pomerantz as recipients of the prestigious College-Sponsored Merit Scholarship. Both scholars are graduating seniors from Bishop Gorman High School and will be continuing their academic journey at the University of Southern California (USC).

Garg plans to pursue a degree in Healthcare Administration, while Pomerantz is looking forward to joining the International Business program at the University of Southern California (USC).

Officials of each sponsor college selected their scholarship winners from among the Finalists in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program who plan to attend their institution. These awards provide between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study at the institution financing the scholarship.

This year, 146 higher education institutions are underwriting Merit Scholarship awards through the National Merit Scholarship Program. Sponsor colleges and universities include 74 private and 72 public institutions. The National Merit Scholarship Program honors individual students who show exceptional academic ability and potential for success in rigorous college studies.
