Two Members of the Indian Community Recognized by Sulekh Jain, Ph.D.
Sulekh Jain, a prolific octogenarian writer, an active member of the local Indian community, and a gifted international leader in the Jain community, recognizes two of the local Indian Americans for their spirit of relentless volunteerism and commitment to the betterment of the Indian-American community.
Jain has composed and showered palatial praise in enchanting verses to two community activists, Ashok Goyal and Chandra Mehta. Jain recognizes the duo for their dedication to maintaining, engaging, and promoting the Indian cultural heritage among Southern Nevada’s Indian diaspora.

Most Definitely, Chandra and Mahendra Mehta – an outstanding couple, all Las Vegas community admire.

I don’t know Chandra or Ashok and I am sure they are nice people. However, why should a person, representing no organization, or official capacity, publicly recognize and issue a certificate/proclamation for someone he adores personally? This seems like a private matter and does not belong in the public domain. This website does a great public service for the Las Vegas Indian community, but it should not be used for personal relationships.

Editor, Please do not go by only one criticism. Both Chandra/Mahendrabhai are doing excellent job, caring for betterment of community, Loving, Selfless free Seva to the community. NOT EVERYONE CAN OR WANT TO or capable of doing with Time, Money, Effort and Loving heart. By the way, Mahendrabhai is a past president of Friends of India group and with support of his wife Chandra Mehta have done an good job through the year as a president. Now both of them are giving FREE selfless service to the community is VERY MUCH APPRECIATED.
We also greatly appreciate Ashok Goyal for his selfless service for Seniors, can anyone imagine seniors in this community will stay lonely without his initiative and hard work to have seniors get together to socialize, enjoy each other’s company and have fun!! He brings different officials to speak & educate seniors on different important topics.
HATS OFF to these egoless, community sevaks. No need to be holding any position in any organization.
