First Annual Lohri Celebrations Light Up Las Vegas with Warmth, Culture, & Community Spirit
Las Vegas witnessed a vibrant and heartwarming celebration of Lohri, one of North India’s most cherished winter festivals, as Lohri Celebrations were hosted by Leena, Ravinder and Fatima from Bollywood Fun Group on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Zaika Indian Bistro, Las Vegas.
The evening brought together families, friends, and members of the local Indian community to celebrate the harvest festival that symbolizes warmth, prosperity, and new beginnings. The venue was beautifully transformed with festive décor, colorful backdrops, and traditional elements that reflected the true essence of Lohri. At the heart of the celebration was the traditional Lohri bonfire, around which guests gathered to offer prayers, sing folk songs, and celebrate togetherness. The ritual created a sense of unity and nostalgia, reminding attendees of Lohri celebrations back home.
Guests were encouraged to dress in traditional Punjabi attire, and the event truly came alive with vibrant phulkari dupattas, elegant salwar suits, traditional jewelry, and joyful smiles. The cultural richness was clearly visible in every corner of the venue. The event was a family-friendly gathering, welcoming attendees of all ages, with children under five attending free of cost. Laughter, conversations, and cultural bonding filled the space as families enjoyed the festive atmosphere.
The celebration was not just about rituals but also about strengthening community ties. The organizers ensured a warm and inclusive environment where everyone felt welcome and connected. The event was thoughtfully organized and promoted by Leena, Ravinder, and Fatima of Bollywood Fun Group. Special appreciation goes to the organizers and volunteers (Neha, Pallavi, Shahina, Rachna, Asma, Aman, Mubeen, Pooja & Neetu) whose efforts made the evening memorable and seamless.
Zaika Indian Bistro provided the perfect setting for the celebration, offering a cozy and culturally rich ambiance that complemented the spirit of Lohri. Lohri Celebrations 2026 stood as a beautiful reminder of how traditions continue to thrive even miles away from home. The evening concluded with happy hearts, lasting memories, and the warmth of community, all in the true spirit of Lohri.
Adding energy and rhythm to the evening was DJ Rekha Subramanium, who came well-prepared and kept the festive spirit alive with a lively selection of Punjabi and Bollywood songs. Her thoughtfully curated playlist had guests tapping their feet, clapping along, and fully immersed in the celebratory mood throughout the night.
