Las Vegas Resident Rohini Mandal Awarded Fulbright Scholarship to Kosovo
Rohini Mandal, a graduate of Green Valley High School’s International Baccalaureate program and Dartmouth College, has been awarded a prestigious Fulbright U.S. Student Program grant to Kosovo for the 2025-2026 year.

Mandal graduated from Dartmouth in 2022 with a degree in Quantitative Social Science and Global Health. Her interest in international health policy deepened during her study abroad experience in Pristina, Kosovo, as part of Dartmouth’s Global Health Policy Lab. There, she served as a health policy consultant for the Municipality of Pristina, where she investigated the health impacts of air pollution by analyzing local emergency room and air quality data.
Her research utilized a mixed-methods approach to examine chronic disease outcomes and has led to collaborations with researchers at Harvard Medical School, Dartmouth’s Geisel School of Medicine, and Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
Mandal’s Fulbright project in affiliation with Kosovo’s National Institute of Public Health and Evidence Synthesis Group, Mandal aims to visibilize the reverberating impacts of Long COVID across Kosovo’s health system and result in evidence-based health policy interventions.
Following her Fulbright year, Mandal plans to pursue graduate studies in global health. In a notable family parallel, her father, Manas Mandal, Professor at Roseman University, was also a Fulbright recipient in 2023-24. Like father, like daughter—the Fulbright legacy continues.

Congratulations.
I am sure it will be a very rewarding experience for her. My daughter, Akta, received the same honor in 2013. Her Fulbright experience was in South Korea and she met some amazing people, courtesy of the US Embassy there and the State Department. She still talks about her experience from time to time.
Hearty Congratulations to Rohini!
I wish you well! It is once in a lifetime journey, enjoy it and make full use of the opportunity to your own full potential!
I had the honor and pleasure to serve as a US Senior Fulbright Scholar during 2015-2016. My project was characterization of volatile organic compounds in the ambient air of metropolitan city of Bangalore, India. The people I met in the process and the experience I had is just unforgetably rich and valuable!
I am sure your experience will be rich and beneficial.
Please feel free to contact me for any additional information.
With best, Viswanath
