Vik Shreshta Volunteered to Serve on the Business Development Advisory Council. County Commissioners Appoint Nine Other Applicants.
In September 2024, the Clark County Board of County Commissioners invited community members to serve on the Clark County Business Development Advisory Council (BDAC). Vik Shreshta, a local high-tech entrepreneur, applied for a coveted position at BDAC but was not appointed.
The Board of County Commissioners appointed nine members to the Council from 18 applicants. The new members are diverse individuals with a wide range of small business knowledge and experience that can support the BDAC mission.

In his application, Shreshta highlighted his professional experience in Las Vegas. Shreshta holds an MBA from Cal State University, Domingo Hills, with 10+ years of business development and commercial strategy experience in the gaming industry. Per his application, he raised approximately $20 million in capital and co-founded a software development firm. In January 2024, he sold his equity stake and moved on to consulting and advising large corporate and start-up firms. Currently, Shreshta is serving as an advisor to a cybersecurity firm based in Las Vegas.
Business Development Advisory Council’s (BDAC) duties include but are not limited to promoting the County’s Small Business Opportunity Program (SBOP), working with the State of Nevada’s entrepreneurial (Department of Economic Development) office, acting as a mentor, and working with local agencies and organizations involved in aiding and promoting local, small, women-owned and minority business enterprises.
