Zeeshan Malik Accused of Practicing Unlicensed Medical Practice
NV State Board of Medical Examiners won an emergency motion for temporary restraining order and permanent injuction to prevent Zeeshan Malik from engaging in the unlicensed practice of medicine in Nevada.
With immediate effect, the Board has suspended Dr. Carmen Felice Jones license to practice medicine in the State of Nevada. As the Medical Director of the Las Vegas Health Center, Dr. Jones allowed Zeeshan Malik to impersonate a Nevada licensed physician and pose as a physician when not actively licensed to practice medicine by the Board. Dr. Jones allowed Zeeshan to illegally prescribe, administer and dispense prescription drugs.
The Board’s preliminary investigation found that Zeeshan has illegally examined, diagnosed and treated hundreds of patients since January 2012. The Board’s preliminary investigation also revealed that the patients were treated with prescription drugs, including but not limited to testosterone, phentermine and other drugs. All of this took place even though Zeeshan was not licensed as an authorized Nevada prescriber and/or dispense of these drugs by the Nevada State Board of Pharmacy.
Additionally, Zeeshan also used the authorized signature stamp of Dr. Jones and therefore her federal DEA registration number on multiple prescriptions. Dr. Jones admitted to allowing Zeshan, an unlicensed person, to use her Board of Pharmacy signature stamp to prescribe medicines; to call in prescriptions on behalf of patients; and falsely records by indicating in the medical records that she was the treating physician at the Las Vegas Health Center.
