K. Singh and L. Singh Charged with Trafficking and Transporting of a Controlled Substance

Indian Americans K. Singh and L. Singh are charged on multiple counts related to trafficking in controlled and transporting of a controlled substance. Allegations in the criminal complaint include the trafficking and transporting of approximately 123 pounds of Cocaine.
After spending a couple of days in the Clark County Detention Center, both K & L Singh have been released on $50,000 bail with a standard bail condition of staying out of trouble along with a continuation of intensive supervision. Further, Singhs’ are required to report to pretrial services 1 time per week.
As per the NRS, it’s a felony if a person knowingly or intentionally sells, manufactures, delivers, or brings into Nevada 400 grams or more in a controlled substance. If found guilty of high-level trafficking, a person shall be punished for a category A felony by imprisonment in the state prison for life with the possibility of parole, with eligibility for parole beginning when a minimum of 10 years has been served; or for a definite term of 25 years, with eligibility for parole beginning when a minimum of 10 years has been served and by a fine of not more than $500,000.
The above criminal complaint is merely an accusation, and the Singhs’ are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
