NATA Cricket Cup Tournament Held in Las Vegas
North American Telugu Association (NATA) hosted NATA Las Vegas Cricket Cup during this past weekend.
It was a great moment for the cricket enthusiasts in Las Vegas area, at NATA began enrooting into University of Las Vegas and local Telugu community. The team led by Raghunandan Reddy, Dr. Narala Chandrashekar Reddy, Rajeshwar Salavaji and Anil Arrabelli has organized this event. The NATA President AVN Reddy and EVP Rajeswhar Gangasani helped coordinating this event.
The NATA Las Vegas Cup – Rebel Premier League Fall 2011 was held as scheduled on 10/15 and 10/16 and trophy was presented to the Winners and Runners. Six teams participated in the tournament. All the matches were held at University of Nevada, Las Vegas. NATA team would like to thank all team captains: Anesh Raju (Winners, HSBC XI), Sai Gangavalli (Runners, UNLV XI), Bobby Patel (Vegas Indians XI), Sunil (IGT XI), Siddhartha Rao (NV Energy XI) and Haamid (Harrah’s XI) who participated enthusiastically with their teams. Man of the match was shared between Ankith and Eran. Eran was the man of the series.
All the players thanked NATA Las Vegas Team Dr. Narala Chandrasekhar Reddy (Grand Sponsor), Raghu Reddy and Raj Salvaji, UNLV NATA Team/Volunteers-Nirup Bandaru, Srikanth Madala, Rohit Asuri, Pavan Kishore Karur, Rana Sangram Reddy Marri, Upendra Renegowda and others for conducting such a wonderful cricket sporting event. NATA team thanked the grand sponsor Dr. Narala Chandrashekar Reddy for his generous support.
Such sports events generate lot of excitement among the Telugu youth in the US, said Anil Arrabelli, NATA regional vice-president. The organizing team said that they hope to continue this cricket cup every year in Las Vegas.
