Las Vegas resident Ravi Dayal, 47, husband of Chanda and owner of former Bombay Salon, passed away in a medical episode during the hike at the Red Rock Canyon National Recreation Area on Sunday, February 7^th.  As per the news reports, the Clark County Coroner’s Office did not immediately disclose a cause and manner of death for Ravi Dayal, 47, of Las Vegas.  However, as per the family member, Ravi had a stroke while hiking at the Red Rock Canyon.

According to Lt. David Goodwin, of Las Vegas Metro police, a call for assistance at Red Rock first came in at 12:01 p.m. It wasn’t until 1:30 p.m. that Dayal’s body was recovered.  A Search & Rescue helicopter was sent to the Sandstone Quarry Area of the NRA shortly after the report of a problem was received at noon, according to Lt. Jeff Goodwin.
