Board of Regents of the Nevada System of Higher Education Approves Tenure
Board of regents of the Nevada System of Higher Education approved a tenure for Dr. Devicharan Chidambram of UNR, Dr. Anjala Krishen, Dr. Pramen Shrestha, both of UNLV; and Nalin Pant of the College of Southern Nevada.
Devicharan Chidambram, Ph.D., Assistant Professor , Chemical and Material Engineering Department, University of Nevada – Reno. Dr. Chidambram has a BTech from India, MS in Material Science & Engineering, MS is Biomedical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Material Science and Engineering all from State University of New York at Stony Brook, New York.
Dr. Chidambram has published over 15 professional research articles. His current research interests include Bioenergy, Biofunctinal & Biohybrid Materials, Nanomaterials, Electrochemistry, Corrosion Science; and Surface Analysis. Dr. Chidambram has been honored with numerous national and international scientific honors including a prestigious Hans-Jürgen Engell Prize by the International Society for Electrochemistry (ISE) and has three patents under his name. Anjala Krishen, Ph.D., promoted to an Associate Professor in Marketing, Lee School of Business, University of Nevada – Las Vegas.
Dr. Anjala Krishen is a graduate of Rice University with Bachelor in in Electrical Engineering. Anjale completed her graduate work at Virginia Polytechnic Institute, where she earned a MS, MBA and Ph.D.in Marketing. During the past seven years, Anjala has earned numerous academic honors, awards, and grants. Anjala’s current research interests include decision making and information processing; advertising and retailing; and interactive and e-marketing.
Prior to joining academics, Anjala’s exceptionally diverse background has led her to work in numerous Fortune 500 companies including Oracle Corporation, Lincoln Electric Company, and American Electric Power.

Pramen Shrestha, PE, Ph.D., is promoted to an Associate Professor at the Department of Civil, Environmental Engineering and Construction. Pramen’s research interest includes Project Delivery Methods, Benchmarking of Construction Projects, Heavy highway construction, Construction Estimating, Infrastructure Sustainability, Construction engineering, Project Management, Construction safety and Highway safety.
Nalin Pant is an Instructor in the Department of English, College of Southern Nevada.
