G. Gill Receives Suspended Sentence After Pleading Guilty of Possession of Firearm and Controlled Substance

After being adjudged guilty to the possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and mid-level possession of controlled substance, District Court Judge Kathleen Delaney sentenced Gill up to 72 months on two felony counts, with all but 36 months suspended.
Gill is placed on probation for an indeterminate period not to exceed 36 months and must comply with multiple special conditions including complete mental health evaluation and complete any recommended case plan and any medication regimen.
Other probation conditions include no use, possession, or control of alcohol or drugs including marijuana during the term of probation. As a part of the agreement, Gill must maintain full-time employment and abide by any imposed curfew requirements.
Additionally, Gill shall submit his digital storage media or any digital storage media that he has an access or use, including computers, handheld communication devices, and any network applications associated with those devices, including social media and remote storage services to a search and shall provide all passwords, unlock codes and account information associated with those items, with or without a search warrant, by the Division of Parole and Probation or its agent.
Gill was represented by a public defender.
