South Asian Bar Association of Las Vegas Awards $20,000 in Law School Scholarship
The South Asian Bar Association of Las Vegas (SABA-lv) held its 2025 Formal on Saturday, October 4. They awarded nearly $20,000 in scholarships to seven law students.
The event was successful by every measure. Nevada’s first south asian judge, Tina Talim, delivered the keynote address. Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford attended and awarded one of the scholarships. Judges from the Nevada Supreme Court, Nevada Court of Appeals, the Eighth Judicial District Court, and the Las Vegas Justice Court also attended and awarded scholarships.
The audience of more than 100 attendees almost unanimously felt that the students’ stories were very impressive and inspiring.
SABA-lv is an increasingly recognized and respected organization in Nevada’s overall legal community. Its 2025 Formal reflected a 30% increase over last year.
SABA-lv’s Board is led by its president Eric Neeraj Kohli. Paul Padda serves as the Chairman, with Arun Gupta as the Vice President and Treasurer. Sagar Raich serves as the secretary, and Arun Luckoor serves as the membership coordinator. Shaira Young, still a law student, serves as the student coordinator.
